CrossFit Timekeeper has been a great place for me to get fitter and stronger, all workouts are completely flexible to any ability level and the community is really friendly and encouraging. It’s also great knowing you don’t need to think about a plan yourself, you just have to show up. Jack and the team’s coaching has a perfect combination of technique corrections to ensure the right form, advice on any adaptations to make to workouts and encouragements for when to push yourself at the right time! Would highly recommend to anyone, whether you’ve never heard of CrossFit or you’ve been training for years – thanks so much to the Timekeeper team!

I have been training at Turbo Mixed Martial Arts (in Kenilworth) for almost a year now…and I can totally recommend the coaching and BJJ training to anyone! It’s a small club….but Steve (head coach) has created a great mat culture…so all the guys are a real pleasure to train with! The BJJ knowledge within the club is fantastic…..so whether you are thinking of starting BJJ (for the first time)…..or thinking of returning (after a layoff)….or thinking of training somewhere else (for a change)…..i would strongly recommend you give TurboMMA a try!

I’ve really enjoyed coming to CrossFit Timekeeper and would recommend it to anyone! Jack has worked hard to create an inclusive, friendly community and I have made some really great friends here. Jack’s background as a teacher is apparent in his approach to coaching, being very patient and I know he takes real pride in the cleanliness/quality of the facilities. There’s a real range of interest and experience across the coaching staff (across olympic lifting, calisthenics/gymnastics, hyrox etc) so I have learnt so much and have been really able to develop my fitness and goals.

We use functional movements that give our members the most bang for a buck possible in the hour they spend with us.

For CrossFit, the most significant and definitive characteristic of functional movements is they are capable of moving large loads long distances, quickly. Three variables are at play here: force, distance, and time. These variables are used to calculate average power — i.e., force times distance/time. In short, functional movements are those capable of producing high power output relative to their non-functional counterparts.
