CrossFit Timekeeper has been a great place for me to get fitter and stronger, all workouts are completely flexible to any ability level and the community is really friendly and encouraging. It’s also great knowing you don’t need to think about a plan yourself, you just have to show up. Jack and the team’s coaching has a perfect combination of technique corrections to ensure the right form, advice on any adaptations to make to workouts and encouragements for when to push yourself at the right time! Would highly recommend to anyone, whether you’ve never heard of CrossFit or you’ve been training for years – thanks so much to the Timekeeper team!

I have been training at Turbo Mixed Martial Arts (in Kenilworth) for almost a year now…and I can totally recommend the coaching and BJJ training to anyone! It’s a small club….but Steve (head coach) has created a great mat culture…so all the guys are a real pleasure to train with! The BJJ knowledge within the club is fantastic…..so whether you are thinking of starting BJJ (for the first time)…..or thinking of returning (after a layoff)….or thinking of training somewhere else (for a change)…..i would strongly recommend you give TurboMMA a try!

I’ve really enjoyed coming to CrossFit Timekeeper and would recommend it to anyone! Jack has worked hard to create an inclusive, friendly community and I have made some really great friends here. Jack’s background as a teacher is apparent in his approach to coaching, being very patient and I know he takes real pride in the cleanliness/quality of the facilities. There’s a real range of interest and experience across the coaching staff (across olympic lifting, calisthenics/gymnastics, hyrox etc) so I have learnt so much and have been really able to develop my fitness and goals.

Thrusters are officially in season. We are kickin Thrusters are officially in season.

We are kicking off our thruster cycle leading into the Open.

This week’s format: 21–15–9 with a partner — you complete a full set, then your partner goes. A shared bar, adding load each week as we progress toward the Open.

Why thrusters matter:
The thruster is one of the most frequently tested movements in the Open because it embodies CrossFit methodology. It requires you to move a load over a long distance, at speed, using nearly every major muscle group. Legs drive the movement, the core transfers force, and the shoulders finish it overhead—demanding strength, stamina, coordination, and efficiency under fatigue.

Benefits you are training:
	•	High power output and metabolic conditioning
	•	Total-body strength and positional stamina
	•	Transfer of force from hips to overhead load
	•	Mental toughness while breathing hard

This cycle is about building capacity, confidence, and consistency so when thrusters show up in the Open—as they always do—you are ready to attack them.

The CrossFit Open is a worldwide, three-week competition where athletes of all levels complete one workout per week. You perform the workout at your gym, submit your score online, and see how you stack up—locally and globally. It is the first step of the CrossFit Games season, but more importantly, it is about community, accountability, and testing your fitness.

How to sign up:
• Go to games.crossfit.com
• Create or log in to your CrossFit account
• Register for the Open
• Select CrossFit Time Keeper as your affiliate
• Complete the weekly workout and submit your score

We will be running Open workouts every Saturday at CrossFit Time Keeper.
